KID PHANTOM #1 - Interview Podcast, and Comic panel sneak peek. IN NEWSAGENTS & COMIC STORES APRIL 27TH, 2017!
Above: The 1 hour KID PHANTOM Q&A podcast with my writer/collaborator Andrew Constant, and I, outlining a bit of our background, our love of the character, and outlining our intent with this upcoming, ongoing All-Ages series.
Below: Chronicle Chamber was also kind enough to get some recent details from the publisher surrounding the release date and some sneak preview images of what to expect from the first book.
Andrew and I had a great time chatting to Dan and Jermayn, and I hope some people's minds have been put at ease regarding where the Frew series intends to go. And if we can't win you over by issue 2 or 3, then we tried.
At any rate, under the pump, gotta keep motoring.

Soldier Sightings: OzComic's 'Australian Comics' Drawing week.
Last week, Australian drawing community Facebook page OzComics chose 'Australian comics' as their drawing topic for the week, in honour of the recent Australia Day weekend, and Whatcha podcast's Australian comic special. To my surprise, some of the locals in the OzComic community chose to scribble their renditions of 'The Soldier' from ww2, featured among other Australian-made characters in the album, such as Trevor the Bull (from 'Greener Pastures'), McBlack, Southern Squadron, Cyber swine, Dark Nebula, Winter City's 'The Reaper', Zed Mercury, Buzz Mandible, Killeroo, and Billy: Demon Slayer, just to name a but a small few.

April 2011: 'Drawing aNd Animation' Exhibition at the Gympie Regional Gallery
Found this image- Not sure if I ever posted it :S
This was from the opening day of the Queensland college of Art's "Drawing aNd Animation" exhibition, held at the Gympie Regional Gallery in April 2011. I was unable to attend, as I was at Melbourne Supanova that weekend, but the Professors and postgraduates also part of the exhibition kindly posed for this photo in front of my pages from'The Soldier Legacy' #2 that appeared in the show. Thank you to the other wonderful artists from the exhibition: Paul Cleveland, Andi Spark, Louise Harvey, Matt Ditton, Chris Denaro, Xin Li and Zhi-Ming Su :D (and Ross Woodrow, the Curator, pictured on far left.)
The idea of the exhibition was to show completed images, plus the process. The catalogue for the exhibition shows images from the comic page colouring process, with early flat colours being applied (and I managed to sneak a 'Jack Kirby' reference into the statement ;P)
